FABA Tech engineered two kinetic systems for an immersive ARCH:ID installation where woven material, dichroic panels and controlled movement changed how visitors experienced the space.
An installation that changes as light, material and motion meet.
The woven form moves through the space.
A vertical lift mechanism moves the woven sculptural element through the center of the installation, making motion part of the spatial composition.
Dichroic panels rotate above visitors.
A precision ceiling-drive system rotates the dichroic panels, shifting color, reflection and shadow as the installation moves.
Architecture, craft, lighting and kinetic engineering aligned in one installation.
The mechanism is only complete when movement becomes experience.
